Although USB flash drives and various file sharing services are the primary method of transporting data, CDs and DVDs are still useful (unlike floppy discs). Their capacity is sufficient to store important files. Furthermore, audio CDs are not obsolete yet and it is not difficult to burn them. Simply named Tiny Burner, this application makes it very easy to burn any data on your discs. It offers the same functionality as other disc burners, as well as a few interesting features of its own.

The software is free and it works on most 32 or 64-bit Windows platforms. It is compatible with all types of burning devices and it supports any optical media, like CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs. The interesting part is that you may install the software on removable memory devices as well and use it on any computer.

Tiny Burner's interface is similar to an explorer window. You may create folders in a tree structure and add your files in the larger area of the window. The software's drop target is a clear advantage over other disc burners. It is a small, movable box, which stays on top of everything else on the screen. Dragging and dropping your files over this box will add them to your project instantly. In this way, you are spared from using the same browsing option, when you need to add files from different folders. In addition, the box displays the number of added files, as well as their total size.

The general options menu is where you can set the program to finalize your disc or leave it open, enable logging and more. Normally, a burning application will eject your disc automatically, but Tiny Burner can be set to reload it as well. While this is far from the software's central feature, it can be very useful, if you want to verify the files yourself and most burners do not provide such a function.

The burning drive and speed can be selected from a drop menu, located on the program's toolbar, where you can also find the options for starting the burning process, ejecting your disc, erasing data from re-writable discs and more.

Pros

Tiny Burner offers straightforward functions and it supports any optical device or media. Its drop target makes it very easy to add files to a project and you can start burning right away, without making too many settings, on various menus. As the name suggests, the software uses very little disk space and resources and you can also install it on a portable device.

Cons

Tiny Burner does not present any serious disadvantages. Tiny Burner is an excellent alternative to other burning applications. Its smart features allow you to work in a fast and comfortable manner.
